The recent loss has inspired OccupyLA to rewrite a proposal designated at facilitating our communal progress.

There was a lot of plight and confusion last night as to what is next in the OccupyLA faction after the tremendous loss of our fallen brother Alex yesterday what is certain is that we move onward.

Alex was one of the first people I met at occupy and though not many of us ever had the honor of getting to know him well, we however were all able to admire and observe how organized and positive he remained throughout what later became revealed  the toughest time of this young exciting artist’s life.

In honor of our first fallen hero and brother Alex Weinschenker

Thank you for everything Alex, we miss you so much already.

The Kindness Proposal

“Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.” – John Fitzgerald Kennedy

What specifically does your proposal do?
Welcome accessibility openly to a wider community audience and open an OccupyLA hub/home.

How specifically will your propsal do this? Through all of the following but not limited to

  • Lessons and Education
Offer  ‘Green Collar’ curriculum that can be utilized by both OLA and Communities. Teach young and old alike restorative trades collective Aquaponics, Farming, Dog Training, Music Lessons, Art Classes, Web Design, Prefab (Mini House) Architecture, Cooking, Solar technology, Foreign oil engine conversions: Electric & Bio fuel

  • Community Outreach:
Campaigning to raise awareness, Fundraising/canvassing donations for sponsorship, free meals, free interenet wifi, free computer resource center,
  • Job Training/ Job placement (SSI advocacy)

:   Basic training and community development to expand all offered services strategically throughout LA to other local areas.

  •  Drug and alcohol Counseling
: AB541 & Prop 36. certified. Harm reduction counseling and resources

  •  Hosting Art shows/ Events
: Speakers, Music, Art, Food, Theatre can now be hosted at a central location or at least the organization from one centralized facility.

Why should we have a concensus?

This will promote an encouraged sense of professionalism and dignity throughout the community not by what we say we stand for, but by our celebrations that stand for what we say.

Because we are always striving to remain conscious of the growing need to care for our hurting Brothers and Sisters no matter how broke we are. This proposal will help sever current and future obstacles that threaten OccupyLAs transparency with isolation.

To further grant, facilitate, and equip our Brothers & Sisters accessibility to basic entitlements to resources such as Water, Food, Shelter, Internet, Information, isn’t only our natural given rights but it is our fundamental responsibility as the 99%.

Through immediately renting our own center as a headquarters to purchase back all the damages on a publicly documented scale.

The world is watching occupyLA and we are Occupying OccupyLA to perpetuate the expansion and dignity of OccupyLA as a faction as well an overall movement.

Once we establish a place to organize and educate we can then further explore community owned organized businesses and enterprises by facilitating restoration from the ground up.

Onelove. Onward.

Happy Holidays.

Well I made it home safe. Been officially woken up and welcomed by the well receiving and bravely noble LAPD Officers of South Central.

Last night it was 36 degrees but I am reminded in articles and media that we are called to do our part as much as we are each called to vote.

Pros:

Tacos are awesome and right here! 3 for $2.50 every night

Theres a blue pitbull thats really sweet

Serene and therapeutic green pastures to gaze at while creating.

Con:

Its cold at night so dress warm.

We need artists and students with warm vehicles, tents, and sleeping bags who want to stake a claim in the land for Los Angeles’ at risk youth to own and develop. Be warm and loving to eachother because there is much love for you!

Onelove,

LATimes 11/28/2011

Thank you all who came out last night. It was a very special night we spoke with KpfK and other media reporters covering the truth about our responsibility and Government. The evening was beautiful and the response towards the occupation of South Central Farm was instinctive and immediate! We only plan to make growth happen through raising up our neglected Youth through  the American way.

***OCCUPYLA IS BEING EVICTED***

Q: Where to now?

A: The Largest Urban Farm in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA which  is scheduled to be sold to Corporate, pollution emitting factories.

The former South Central Farm.

1700 E 40th street

Vernon, Ca. 90058

We are only as strong as our youth in this great country which is the reason for OccupyLA and everyother economic protest.

The South Central Farm is up for sale to whoever can utilize this the most for our country.

These are the facts. Solidarity = Youth.

To avoid violence this is a necessary step.

THE WORD OF THE DAY :    “Shanti Sena!” (Shahn-tee See-Na)

“Shanti Sena” is a term first coined by Gandhi when he conceptualized a nonviolent volunteer peacekeeping program dedicated to minimizing communal violence within the Indian populace. The words “Shanti” and “Sena” both come from Sanskrit. Shanti means peace and Sena means army, or a drilled band of men. The word “Sena” has been criticized for its connection to militarism, but for Gandhi, it had strong metaphorical and spiritual qualities connected to its use in the Hindu vedas.

The Shanti Sena or “Peace army” was made up of Gandhi‘s followers in India. Its non-violent methods have been adopted by other movements such as the World Peace Brigade, Nonviolent Peaceforce, Swaraj Peeth and the Rainbow Family of Living Light

We all know 100% is not a number between 1%-99%

We are urging our community leaders, local organizations, political leaders and families to support OccupySCF (South Central Farm) immediately. We wish to hold candle light vigils in solidarity with OccupyLA so we may start occupying the land as soon as possible 99ers need water.

We must encourage everyone not just our 99ers of OccupyLA to sit at the most logical location today Los Angeles’ Urban Garden.

The South Central Farm is the largest urban garden in the United States of America. It is responsible for the development and creation of thousands of Urban Gardens throughout the nation. Urban Farms will slow down the frantic fickle mindsets into a more balanced way of life that has been proven to work. Right now there are a couple of small family owned taco stand/fruit carts patiently waiting for the hungry concerned citizens that wish to occupy the Garden.

Join us in making an honest collective that the Youth of Los Angeles can both own AND believe in.

We will be holding a candlelight vigil

here are directions to the Farm from OccupyLA Los Angeles’ City Hall !
